Scotland decides

Posted on September 17, 2014September 17, 2014

Polls showing it’s too close to call on this last day before the referendum. As we hear, it is estimated that 97% of eligible voters have enrolled to make their historical mark. My Highland friends and family are saying Yes to Independence from the Tories of the South  – which will leave us in a new country here in England but, hey, that’s not their problem.

The Toryfication of England is so sad. But someone is voting them in, and one of the outcomes of that vote is the NHS will be delivered by private companies, like the one that failed the Olympics in London and needed rescuing by the Nation’s armed forces. There won’t be anyone to save them when they fail to deliver health services.

The urge toward community and equality established after WWII through public services like National Social Welfare will be undone. My father-in-law was in WWII and worked in the Social Services after the war, he is appalled at the direction the country is being taken by selfish shortsighted government.
